Our rugged boards are designed for extreme harsh environments such as found on land vehicles, marine equipment and high altitude drones.
These boards are built using automotive and military grade components, and use a slightly more stringent manufacturing process (IPC class 3) for increased reliability. Many Rugged boards are also thicker and use a high Tg FR4 PCB substrate for more rigidity at high temperatures.
Pick these boards if you cannot afford boards to fail in service, or expect harsh environments.

GigaBlox Rugged is an ultra-compact, highly ruggedized board that provides 4 1000BASE-T Gigabit ports that can function from ambient temperatures between -40°C to +100°C. This operational range makes high-speed networking possible in a host of new, challenging applications including military and surveillance.
SwitchBlox Rugged is a tiny rugged five port 100MB ethernet switch with an operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C. With five ports and optional PoE delivery, this board is designed for compact applications such as drones and robots.
